Kann man Erstlingswerke vielleicht überschätzen? Immerhin ist der erste Film von Quentin Tarantino auf Platz 65 der Charts zu finden - und vielleicht noch nicht so ausgereift wie ‘Pulp Fiction’ (Platz 5) oder ‘Kill Bill’ (Platz 168). Aber vielleicht ist es ja auch genau diese Frische, die den Film auszeichnet - wir dürfen gespannt sein.
Trivia: 272x gibt’s im Original das Wort fuck zu hören - keine Sorge: von weiteren Zahlenspielen lasse ich ganz schnell die Finger. Vielleicht ganz witzig: Im Film gibt Tarantino eine Interpretation von Madonnas ‘Like a Virgin’ zum besten… Madonna hat der Film zwar gefallen, die Interpretation aber eher weniger, darum gab’s für den kleinen Quentin eine Kopie von ‘Erotica’ mit der Widmung “To Quentin. It’s not about dick. It’s about love. Madonna”. Und: Wie in Indiana Jones und Star Wars gibt’s auch hier den Vater aller Klischees, den Wilhelmsschrei, zu hören.
